How much 95% ethyl alcohol is needed to make 5ml of 50% alcohol solution? How much water is needed?

Stan, you could solve this either using an Alligation Tic-tac-toe grid, or using Algebra.
Here's the Algebra Set-up
(.95)(X) = (.50)(5mL)
(solve for X, that will be how many mL of the 95% to use.
Then the difference to 5mL will be the water)
