Are unanswered questions counted against you on the PTCB?

On the PTCB exam, unanswered questions are counted as wrong and negatively effect your score. That being the case, the best plan of attack is to get to all of the ones you know first, then return to the more challenging ones.
This strategy is for time management by not getting hung up on the harder questions that kill lots of time. Instead, save them 'til the end. The computer based testing system allows you to do this.
Actually, there are several strategies you can use to let the statistics work in your favor and ease your test anxiety. In fact, there's whole a page on the site about strategy.
One Strategy
Example of the above strategy: Let's say two people taking the exam are slow test takers and forgot to skip the harder questions and have only 90 seconds left, and 12 more questions to mark. One decides to mark them randomly using all four letters. The other picks a letter, let's say "B", and marks them all with that. Statistically the second person will get more correct.
