I'M GETTING READY TO TAKE THE PTCB NEXT MONTH. MY QUESTION IS: HOW DO I KNOW WHAT FORMULA TO USE WHEN SOLVING WORD PROBLEMS? I CAN DO THE MATH, BUT I'M HAVING PROBLEMS KNOWING WHICH FORMULA'S TO PLUG THE PROBLEM INTO. SO HOW DO I KNOW WHICH FORMULA TO USE?

This question comes up often. The answer is kind of a long one, so I wrote an article and posted it on eZine.

Not a Math Fan!
by: Karen Lewis

I have two friends who have successfully taken the PTCB exam in San Antonio, TX. They are very bright. They complained about the number of math questions on the exam. Out of 90 questions, at least 26 of them were math or math related.
This is bad news for a person like me who isn't a fan of math.

Thank you so much for this website. I'm taking mine in a month. Math is my #1 hate. But your site helps a lot.

Review for Boards
by: Judi

I just found your website & I am so excited to find free help. I need to take my certification boards but it has been a long time since I completed my pharmacy tech course. (about 6 years)
Math is my big hang-up. God bless Keith for this website! I only wish I had found it sooner.
