Answer: A 1/2 normal saline solution contains 4.5 milligrams of sodium chloride per milliliter of solution.

Therefore,

If 4.5 milligrams (NaCl) = then X milligrams (NaCl)

1 milliliter NaCl = 25 milliliter NaCl solution
solution

(1)(x)= (4.5)(25)

X=112.5 milligrams of Sodium Chloride or 0.1125 grams of Sodium Chloride.
