You have an order to dispense 1000mL of D5NS. When you look at our stock, we do not have any bags of D5NS on the shelf. The pharmacist asks if you will make these from D5W bags. Knowing that NS contains 154 mEq of NaCl per liter, how many milliliters of NaCl 4mEq/1ml will you need to add to a 1000ml bag of D5W to prepare D5NS?
