I looked over this site and it does have some useful information in it. After taking the class, I say no. He summarize lots of stuff in here. Not only that, if you look for a job, they usually want you to have taken a class in it. Some schools actually have internship as part of their class which may look good to people who wants you to have some experience.

I wouldn't advise just taking your PTCB's and not go to school. School has a lot of hands on prep. That is helpful especially for compounding and mixing. It took me 6 mo. to find a job and that was with raving letters of recommendation and a 4.0 average, and passing the PTCB exam. If I didn't go to school and just took the PTCB exam I would not have been hired at a Cancer Treatment Center mixing and compounding Chemotherapy. Oh, by the way, I had to go through a second internship with my employer because chemotherapy is a whole different ballgame. Good luck to you...

This site has very good information. When I took my test I used this site and it did help me. I didn't take any class in any college and I passed. I work in a hospital pharmacy now!! so I will say yes it can help you a lot.

To answer your question; yes! These practice exams are great review for the test. I took the exam today and passed on the first try. However, I did go through a program at my local community college, but this site prepared me even more because I had forgotten some of the things I'd learned.

I took the test today and passed first time. Most of my studies were from this site. I think it's great and want to thank Pharmacy Tech Study for a great site.
